Venturi Fetish Sports Car Review

Venturi or Automobiles Venturi achieved iconic status as a leading manufacturer of sports cars. At the height of his involvement in auto racing, he went head-to-head with the Italian Ferrari, the French Bugatti and the German Porsche. These industry giants dominated the racing circuit in Europe. In fact, on countless occasions the Venturi has shown superiority over its renowned rivals. But in 2001, Monegasque millionaire Gildo Pallanca Pastor bought the rights to the French Automobile Company and soon shifted focus to the production of eco-friendly, eco-friendly cars.

Under new management, Venturi produced the world’s first two-seater electric sports car and aptly named it the Venturi Fetish, produced at its Monaco facility. It might have caused quite a stir among green car advocates, but production has been limited to just 25 vehicles. Therefore, worldwide only a few can prove the viability of the Venturi Fetish as a sports car, the rest will simply think of it as a concept car.

The Fetish has been designed to perform in a manner comparable to sports cars. Equipped with gasoline engines, its batteries can produce 250 horsepower (180 kW) with measured acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in just under 5 seconds, according to a 2007 press review. However, reaching a top speed of 160 kph (100 mph) falls far short of its gasoline-powered counterparts. However, this is already considered respectable since the Fetish is powered by only one gear and does not need a fancy drive system. Torque is constant at 200Nm and translates to a ratio of 9.58:1.

One aspect that makes the car smart is its electric drive motor. The engine provides constant Nm torque at all stages of the car’s speed spectrum, including the standstill phase, unlike combustion engines where torque is delivered progressively and full power is only available in ranges of defined rpm. The company’s specifications indicate lithium-ion accumulators as the battery pack and the car covers a maximum range of 250 kilometers on a full charge. The full recharge of the battery can be done in one hour (less than 30kW triphasic) and 3 hours in a standard domestic socket through its built-in charger.

The Fetish is built in a lightweight fashion, made entirely of carbon fiber that made extensive use of available technologies, particularly from the aeronautical sector. It is completely controlled by microprocessors; the intent is to encourage satisfying driving while ensuring reliability and safety on the road. To promote the viability of an electric car as a primary mode of transportation, the Venturi Fetish has embarked on a 2-year world journey. The result has been gratifying so far for this change in public perception of their system.

The design innovation exhibited by Venturi shows that there is a better and exciting alternative to gasoline cars. This suggests that the very essence of automotive tradition: rarity, character and passion are embodied in this compact electric sports car. Part of this may have found expression in the smooth, delicately shaped front wings, which project brutal appeal and agility, contours that mimic ballet dancers in motion, and an overall feel and passion reminiscent of 1990s cars. 1950.
