Take the Stress Out of the Holidays: Three Clever Ways to Make Your Holidays Merry, Bright, Stress-Free and Easy

1. Get out of the noise. Check in with yourself all the time. If you feel like you’re going ten directions at once and getting nowhere, stop, sit, and just watch your breath go in and out. Aspire. Exhale. Aspire. Exhale. Let your breath do what it does. Just watch it. If you become aware of some mental chaos taking place, just watch it and breathe in, breathe out. Little by little, the mental chaos calms down. Take care of your breathing for as long as you can. If you’re short on time, watch your breathing for whatever time you have. Even a few seconds help restore your peace of mind.

2. Look for what is correct. Your mind, my mind, everyone’s mind likes to look at what’s wrong. Get used to looking for what is right. Get used to looking for what you have instead of concentrating on what you don’t have. Count your blessings. be thankful Practice gratitude. See what is correct. Look for the good and rather it will come to you. See what you have and you will have more to look at. Seek what is right and more and more right will appear in your life.

3. Practice love. This is the season of love. Practice love. One way to practice love is to give things to people. Giving without expecting to receive anything in return. Give unconditionally. Which means there are no expectations or desires that the other person will return something to you. No strings attached giving. That is the way to go. Giving without expecting to receive is the way to feel better and be happier. Giving things is good. Giving others the attitude that you want for them what they want for themselves is even better. Give them kindness. Give them a smile. Don’t give them appreciation for anything at all, except that they are in this very boat called life doing the best they know how. Say I love you to everyone you meet. You don’t have to say it out loud. Say it quietly, from your heart. And say I love you too. Say it all the time.
