Beating the Master Cleanse Diet Day 3

If you’ve followed or are thinking about trying the Master Cleanse diet, then you’ve probably heard that day 3 can be the hardest. Now, for some, it’s day 2 or even day 4. Some even experience day 1 as the hardest, but what makes day 3 of the master cleanse so hard?

To begin with, the third day of the master cleanse diet involves many biological changes that occur in the body. This is often the day when people detox the most and their bodies begin to feel the true addiction to the many toxic substances we eat on a daily basis. It almost looks like someone who is going through heavy drug withdrawal, because that’s what they’re going through. Fear not. The third day of the master cleanse is by far the hardest day you will have during this detox diet, also known as the master cleanse fast. Here are some tips to get you through the first few days of the cleanse, and specifically the third.

1. If you haven’t read about the master cleanse or don’t have a master cleanse guide, then day three may come as a surprise. Keep in mind that the more you know about this detox diet, the fewer surprises you will find during it. Make sure you do everything the way you’re supposed to and stay relaxed.

2. Do you want the cravings to disappear? Rent some movies or buy a good book. This was the easiest way to distract myself during the master cleanse and intense detox. The more you can just relax and enjoy being at peace, the better and more comfortable you will feel. This is similar to what people go through when they try to quit smoking. You are experiencing a kind of withdrawal symptom from additives, preservatives and addictive junk in food.

3. Keep in mind that after the third day, it will be pretty much a piece of cake all the way. During the master cleanse fast, it usually only takes 3 days from day 1 to feel extraordinary. So remember there is a hump and just above that hump is achievement and greatness. Everyone I’ve talked to on the subject insists (including myself) that everything changed for them after the third day. So if you’ve made it this far, it’s all downhill.

4. Save a good portion of your mixture for the night. Most of us tend to eat more at night. Although this is not so healthy, it is what our bodies are used to. So if you’re having trouble cleaning, take a break and drink more of your mix in the evenings.

5. Are you using enough cayenne pepper in your master cleanse recipe? Cayenne pepper is commonly used to help suppress your appetite. The chemical in bell peppers called capsaicin has been known for years to help people lose weight and control appetite. If you’re not using enough as the master cleanse diet suggests, then you could be making the cleanse that much harder for you.

6. Make sure to drink your weak tea and also herbal mint tea in the evenings. These help to change the cleansing and aid in the cleansing process of the master cleansing diet.

7. The more you keep busy, without overdoing it, the better off you’ll be at the end of day three on the Master Cleanse Diet. Personally, I’d try to stay away from exercise as your body is going through enough adjustments, but things like watching movies, reading, fishing, and even a brisk walk in the park are great ways to keep your mind off detox. Also keep in mind that you should not surround yourself with people who eat fast food and cook. This creates a temptation that makes commitment that much more difficult. If you quit smoking, you’d like to be around other smokers, right? This is also valid for master cleaning. Tell yourself and those around you that the cleanse is only temporary and during that time, you’d like to refrain from being around tempting foods.

The Master Cleanse Diet, also known as the Master Cleanse Fast, is a very popular means of cleansing and detoxifying. By performing the proper procedures and maintaining a healthy state of mind, you can make even the toughest cleaning times go by with ease.
