true angelic power

Why, who and what are angels?

Millions of people around the world believe in the existence of demons or evil spirits. Many have gone beyond their belief or curiosity and are practicing black magic or invoking the devil or evil spirits, in their search for power, money or fame. It sounds funny to me when they deny the existence of angels just because angels can’t see each other, because they are both invisible spirits. Although they are spirits, they can and do manifest their presence in our world in concrete and perceptible ways.

The existence of good and evil can be clearly seen in our daily lives, wherever you live in the world, whoever you are, in our local communities, in the way different governments conduct their affairs in any country. Of course, we don’t have to look very far.

Today, we know of family and friends who have taken the path of super aggressive and unfettered pursuit of money and gold, fame, honor and glitter in their pursuit of happiness. But this path only gives us temporary satisfaction. Accumulated wealth can buy possessions that can bring us enjoyment only while these things are new and then diminish very quickly with time and use. Money cannot buy the guarantee of a serene, peaceful and truly happy life. It cannot protect us from failure, disappointment, rejection, or unfaithful friends. It can’t buy us love either, I mean the real kind of love that comes from the heart. Genuine love that doesn’t smack of any self-interest or manipulation. And not the kind of fake love that is really just admiration. Yes, relationships can be bought, because people naturally gravitate towards the man who has money, position, power, and property because these so-called friends can get something out of the relationship.

If this is the case, how can we avoid falling into the trap?

It should be clear to us that the trap of a miserable life is not only set by evil spirits. We can also fall for our own weaknesses and shortcomings. However, well-meaning friends can give us wrong advice. The wide availability of countless goodies and gadgets like cell phones, iPods, furniture, fashion, jewelry, etc. more and more new, in addition to the well-planned and effective marketing and advertising that we see on TV, in newspapers and fashion magazines, here on the Internet, etc. .. So we are tempted to spend beyond our means, or as the old saying goes, trying to grab something beyond our reach. We can also meet seemingly normal next-door neighbors who are actually trying to make friends or make a good deal with the malicious intention of scamming us.

So many things to watch out for, and so few good people to give us good advice or reminders to guide us properly. So how can we deal with it? Keeping in mind that despite all of these things around us, there are still plenty of people we know who are decent, God-fearing, family-oriented, faithful friends, hard-working, quietly but effectively providing service to their communities. Why? It is a credit to his good character, of course, but we must not dismiss or blind ourselves to the fact that there are good spirits, angels who constantly protect us all and keep us away from really serious and deep problems.

References to angels

WE begin by using the Bible as a foundational reference, because it is an authoritative set of historical documents. In doing so, therefore, we do not rely on the speculations of men, or simply on the experiences of some authors, nor on a simple logical analysis, nor simply on a rationally drawn conclusion.

Some people have claimed, perhaps due to not-so-exhaustive research, that there are only a few vaguely mentioned passages in the Bible that refer to these spirit beings.

On the contrary, the mention of angels is inclusive in the Scriptures. In the NASB translation they are mentioned 196 times: 103 times in the Old Testament and 93 times in the New Testament.

There are numerous references to angels by the Lord Jesus, who is declared the Creator of all things, including these spirit beings. Paul wrote: “For by him all things were created, both in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, dominions, principalities, or authorities (a reference to angels); everything has been created by him and for him. “

Some specific passages that mention angels

Some found in the Old Testament:

1. They were assigned to guard the entrance to the Garden of Eden – Genesis 3:24
2. Protected Lot – Gen 19
3. Helped Elijah – 1 Kings 19:5
4. Helped Isaiah 6:6

Some found in the New Testament:

1. Matthew 28:2 (the stone that the angel rolled away weighed about 4 tons).
2. Mark 13:32 the angels in heaven
3. Luke 2:13-14 Seeing the birth of Christ, the angels rejoiced in praise to God
4. Heb. 2:7-9 By creation man is inferior to the angels
5. 2 Thessalonians 1:7 refers to the return of the Lord with his mighty angels in a flame of fire.
6. 2 Peter 2:11 says, “while the angels who are greater in might and power bring no abusive judgment against them before the Lord.”

In addition to many other passages throughout the bible.

And something else…

In his 1990 book Angels: An Endangered Species, Malcolm Godwin estimates that in the last 30 years one in ten pop songs mentions an angel. But that was just romantic fun.

In recent years, Time, Newsweek, Ladies’ Home Journal, Redbook, and many other popular magazines have published articles about angels. In mid-1994, ABC aired a two-hour prime-time special titled “Angels: The Mysterious Messengers.” In the November 28, 1994 issue of Newsweek, an article titled “In Search of the Sacred” observed that “20% of Americans have had a revelation from God in the past year, and 13% have seen or felt the presence of an angel” (p. 54).
