Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em Week 10

Baltimore Ravens vs. atlanta falcons

You should start

* Joe Flacco QB BAL- The Falcons can’t stop anyone in the air. Expect great things from Flacco and all the weapons he has on offense.

* Ray Rice RB BAL-Rice is putting together another solid season, but the Falcons are solid against the run. Rice will catch enough passes to make up for his rushing yards.

* Anquan Boldin and Derrick Mason WR BAL: Both wide receivers should post solid numbers against this horrible D pass from the Falcons.

* Matt Ryan QB ATL- The game is at home, and for some reason, Ryan is great at home. The Ravens’ D pass is not as good as in previous years.

* Micheal Turner RB ATL- Should have a solid game vs. this average Ravens D rush. He should run close to 100 yards and 1TD.

* Roddy White WR ATL- He won’t be 100%, but he should have at least one or two big gains and, as always, is a threat in the red zone.

* Tony Gonzalez TE ATL- Has the second most red zone targets by a TE, so he will be a factor in the red zone.

start limit

*Todd Heap TE BAL: If he needs a spot start, he could post a decent game, as bad as Atlanta’s secondary is.

St. Louis Rams vs. San Francisco 49ners

You should start

* Steven Jackson RB STL- The 49ners are solid against the run, but don’t bench a stud like Jackson.

* Danny Amendola WR STL (ppr) – While it won’t give you a lot of yards, it should get you about 6 catches and would be a flexible play if you need it.

* Frank Gore RB SF- The Rams are even better against the run, but Gore is having another solid year running the ball.

*Vernon Davis TE SF- It appears his ankle is fully healed. The Rams also have a good pass rush, so T. Smith, a second-time starter, will have to pass the ball to Davis and Gore.

* Michael Crabtree WR SF- He’s not playing as well as last year, but he’s playing better recently with 3TD in his last 4 games.

start limit

*Sam Bradford QB STL – If you’re looking for a starting point, you could do worse than Bradford. San Fran isn’t good against the pass, allowing even Matt Cassel to throw for 250 yards and 9.3ypa. Bradford should have a decent game if you need it.

must sit

* Troy Smith QB SF- The Rams have solid pass rushing and pass defense. Don’t expect too much from Smith, who is making his second start.

New York Jets vs. cleveland browns

You should start

* LaDainian Tomlinson RB NYJ- LT has really slowed down the last few games, but I expect a rebounding game from him.

* Dustin Keller TE NYJ- After a slow couple of weeks, it looks like Keller is starting to be a bigger part of the offense once again.

* Santonio Holmes WR NYJ- Had a standout game last week, and should continue to put up solid numbers against a horrible pass from the Browns D.

* Peyton Hillis RB CLE- He should be able to put up another solid game, with his O-line paving the way, even against a solid D from the Jets.

start limit

*Ben Watson TE CLE- I really don’t know what to think about this, he hasn’t played well the last 2 games, but I don’t see McCoy being able to throw the ball to his WRs.

* Jerricho Cotchery and Braylon Edwards WR NYJ- While the Browns don’t have many passes, Sanchez really spreads the ball around. Both hurt each other’s value, but both could have solid games.

must sit

*Shonn Greene RB NYJ- A change of pace back to LT, I don’t see him having a great game.

* Colt McCoy QB CLE- While he’s been a solid game manager, the Jets should give him some trouble this game, with their pass rush and Revis in full health.

* Browns WRs- Very inconsistent, and will struggle to get open this game.

* Mark Sanchez QB NYJ- When he has to throw the ball he has trouble, but he shouldn’t have to throw much. This means less than 200 passing yards and 1 TD. Try to find someone else.

Detroit Lions vs. buffalo bills

You should start

* Jahvid Best RB DET- The Bills are terrible on defense, so Best should put up receiving and rushing yards. Best has yet to post a 100-yard rushing game, and he could come close in this game, as the Bills allow 178 per rushing game.

* Shaun Hill QB DET- With Stafford injured once again, Hill now fully healthy, starts. Hill should have no problem tearing apart the Bills’ poor secondary.

* Calvin Johnson WR DET- While Megatron had his best 2 games, without Hill under center the entire game. I think he has a solid game, after being shut down by Revis last game.

* Brandon Pettigrew TE DET- Should be a solid start as Hill looks at him more often than Stafford for whatever reason.

* Ryan Fitzpatrick QB BUF- Should continue to rack up solid fantasy points against a poor Lions secondary.

* Steve Johnson WR BUF – Playing amazing right now, I can’t see Detroit’s secondary holding him back.

must sit

* Fred Jackson RB BUF- Even with the Bills within a score for the entire game last week, they didn’t run the ball at all. While he could have a solid game running the ball this week, he could also have a horrible game as the Lions really limited the Jets and Redskins in the last 2 games.

* Lee Evans WR BUF- With Johnson taking over the No. 1 target job from Fitzpatrick, Evans has been inconsistent this year. Also with an ankle injury, he would bench him out.

* CJ Spiller RB BUF- Doesn’t touch the ball enough to be used.

Minnesota Vikings vs. chicago bears

You should start

* Adrian Peterson RB MIN- Even the Bears who rank in the top 5 run defenses won’t be able to stop him.

* Brett Favre QB MIN- It looks like Favre is back from the dead. He should be able to put up another solid game against Chicago’s lackluster secondary.

* Percy Harvin WR MIN-Favre’s #1 target says his ankle is better, but he missed practice with a migraine. Check on him before game time, but he should be booked for another good game.

* Visanthe Shiancoe TE MIN- I told you I would get more goals without Moss. Look for that to continue against the Bears.

* Jay Cutler QB CHI- With the Bears unable to run the ball, Cutler should be able to throw plenty of yards.

* Johnny Knox WR CHI: Cutler’s outfield threat, it will be a boom or bust, and I guess boom.

start limit

* Matt Forte RB CHI- He hasn’t run the ball well so far this year, don’t expect him to produce a monster game as the Vikings have decent run defense. Catch enough passes to use on ppr as a flex.

must sit

* Bernard Berrian WR MIN- His first significant game all season, don’t expect too much again.

* Greg Olsen TE CHI- He just isn’t catching passes this season. look elsewhere

Cincinnati Bengals vs Indianapolis Colts

You should start

* Carson Palmer QB CIN- Indy’s defense isn’t good enough to stop him, even with Palmer playing below par this season.

* Cedric Benson RB CIN- Benson hasn’t played poorly this season, but he should be able to put up a solid game against Colt’s D-run.

* Terrell Owens WR CIN- He’s really playing well this season, this should continue as Palmer’s #1 wide receiver.

* Peyton Manning QB IND- This is a fact.

* Reggie Wayne WR IND- The Bengals aren’t playing as good defense as they were last season. Wayne should have a monster game with Peyton’s pitching.

* Jacob Tamme TE IND- Doing his best to replace Dallas Clark, and he’s played well so far. He should have another good game as Peyton’s second choice.

* Pierre Garcon WR IND- He should be the third of Peyton’s options, and could have a solid game without the Bengals’ No. 1 corner on him.

start limit

* Blair White WR IND- With injuries to Indy’s receiving staff, he could have a decent game as a flex play.

*Donald Brown RB IND- With Addai and Hart gone, Brown will most likely see all the carries once again. While he’s not very good, neither is the Bengals’ D-run.

must sit

* Chad Ochocinco WR CIN- He really sucks this season, and he shouldn’t be starting.

Tennessee Titans vs. miami dolphins

You should start

* Chris Johnson RB TEN – Again, it should be a solid start.

* Nate Washington and Randy Moss WR TEN- While both are deep threats, Vince Young has enough of an arm to get it to them. Both hurt each other’s value, but both could catch a long pass or two.

* Ronnie Brown RB MIA- With Pennington starting, the Dolphins won’t be fanning as much, which means more work for Brown.

* Brandon Marshall and Davone Bess WR MIA- They won’t get close to that many yards, since Pennington throws tons of short balls, they will catch a lot of passes.

* Anthony Fasano MIA TE- I know from Chad’s days as Jet, he loves to throw it to his tight ends. Expect a good game from Fasano.

must sit

* Bo Scaife TE TEN- It is not being used as much as in past seasons. Find someone else as the owner.

* Vince Young QB TEN- He is a better game manager than the fantasy QB.

Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

You should start

* LaGarrette Blount RB VG- With Dan Connor out of the Panthers, Blount should have more room to run.

* Mike Williams WR TB- Having a great rookie season, he should once again put up a solid game. He’s really meshed well with second-year QB Josh Freeman.

start limit

* Kellen Winslow TE TB- He has struggled this season and has yet to score a TD. It could be a good start in TE.

* Josh Freeman QB TB: If your starter is out with a bye, Freeman could bring in some points at QB for you against an average D-pass from the Panthers.

must sit

* Panther Offense. No one on this team is putting up fantasy numbers, including Steve Smith. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart both could be out of this game, not that they’ve done much this year.

Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

You should start

* Matt Schaub QB HOU- He should bounce back with a great game against a terrible passing D from the Jags.

* Arian Foster RB HOU- Foster will continue his monstrous season, with Jacksonville’s poor defense

* Andre Johnson WR HOU- I don’t think the Jags can stop Schaub Johnson. Wait for a great day.

*Maurice Jones-Drew RB JAX-Houston is pretty bad on defense, Jones-Drew should post a nice stat line for you.

* Mike Thomas and Mike Sims-Walker WR JAX-Houston are equally bad vs. The permission. Expect these two WRs to put up some good fantasy numbers.

start limit

* David Garrard QB JAX- He could have another great game, but he’s very inconsistent. Last week was his first significant game.

must sit

* Jacoby Jones and Kevin Walter WR HOU- Both are not factors in this offense.

* Owen Daniels TE HOU- He could miss another game, if he plays he won’t do much. Look elsewhere.
