Is your mouth open and full of God? This is a simple instruction from God that many Christians are not obeying. However, it is a way by which God shows himself powerful and faithful in our favor. So, in this article, we encourage you to open your mouth wide and God will fill it for you.
I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. But my people would not listen to my voice, and Israel would not want me… Oh, that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways! I would soon subdue her enemies, and turn my hand against her adversaries… He too would have fed them with the best of the wheat; and with honey from the rock he would satisfy you-Psalms 81:10-16 (NKJV, emphasis mine).

However, many people do not enjoy using their mouth because they use it as they like, following their own advice. But when you open your mouth wide, God will fill it and you will be full.
What does it mean to open your mouth wide and have God fill it?
This is boldly declaring the word of God at all times and asking for what you want from God. Certainly, closing your mouth is closing your destiny. And God is more than capable of doing anything you say in faith. So, do not say or ask for small things, but boldly ask for great things in faith. Therefore, opening your mouth wide to invoke your desires in Christ will attract responses from the Lord.
Why should you open your mouth wide?

It is Almighty God who said that you should open your mouth wide. Surely, He is not a small god; rather He is the one who led the Israelites out of Egypt with outstretched hands. And He did great signs and wonders in Egypt that could not be replicated.

So that He subdues your enemies and turns His hands against your adversaries. God is waiting for you to declare his word against your enemies so that he will fulfill it. But, when you shut up, you don’t give him a chance to fill it up and use it against your enemies.

Therefore, He can provide you with the best food daily and provide you with the sweet things in life. You will certainly eat the fruit of your lips. Truly, it is not enough to wish for food and the good things in life, you must invoke them. For example, you must always declare that God will supply all your needs according to his riches in his glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). This, when declared in faith, will always get your needs met.
Consequences of disobeying this instruction
God will let you carry out your own ideas or advice, which will expose you to the attacks of the enemy. This attack will come because you will not have the backing of the Almighty. And the enemy will have no one to stop him or fight him from oppressing you.

Truly, it is great wisdom to open your mouth wide (even if you are mocked) and declare what you want according to the word of God. Because then you commit God to act on your behalf.
