Doom – Let the game begin
Doom is a popular computer game that fits the style of games that are made from the perspective of the first-person shooter. It integrates 3D graphics and network multiplayer games to offer a very interesting game.
It also supports custom expansions (WADs). There is a lot of violence interspersed within the game. However, people liked the game so much that it won the title of best game in 2004. As a result, many versions of the game such as Doom II: Hell on Earth, The Ultimate Doom, master levels for Doom II and Final Doom have appeared. PC/DOS was the platform initially designed for the game, but it can now be run on most other platforms.
Get in the driver’s seat:
Doom can be played through the impulses of the first person that is you. This main protagonist is nameless and is believed to be the person playing the game. This will make the game much more exciting for you as you are the “hero” of the game. The game usually takes place in a particular setting which is a closed area. The trick is to find the hidden door that will take you to the next level. By the time you find the door, you’ll have fought fierce battles with demonic monsters, fallen into pits of radioactive slime or toxic waste, and worked hard to avoid being crushed by rooftops that are hell-bent on killing you.
The arsenal involved:
The slippery locked door can be opened via a remote device or a skull-shaped key that must be located by you. There are many mazes in the Doom game area that have secret power-ups for you. These prove to be ample rewards that can inspire and empower you to reach new heights. An automap guides you through the levels. Along with these power-ups, there is a huge arsenal of weapons waiting for you. Although you’ll start the game with brass knuckles and a pistol, you can collect a chainsaw, machine gun, shotgun, plasma rifle, and rocket launcher along the way. The BFG 9000 is also waiting to be won along the way.
What about boosters?
The power-ups promised by smart play include a backpack that can help you carry a lot more ammo, a first aid kit to keep you healthy, armor, and a crazy pack. This is a fun pack in Doom that will send you rampaging through the terrain avoiding the enemy attack on you. You can deal with all the villains on the way. Your health can be increased to 100% and sometimes 200% with the help of supernatural blue orbs called Soul Spheres.
Who are your opponents?
There are a number of monsters that you will encounter on your way to success in Doom. They will attack you in large numbers depending on the difficulty level you have chosen. Sometimes you have to kill at least a dozen before you find the key to the next level. Monsters vary and can take one of 10 forms. These forms include possessed humans, hellish monsters, imps, cacodemons, and very strong bosses that can survive even the deadliest of attacks from you. These monsters react by walking towards you, shooting fireballs as they get closer. In addition to biting and scratching, they also sometimes resort to fighting each other.
Made by id software, the different versions of Doom feature alternate routes from the hidden room through rough terrain. You can play the game alone or play with your friends through a network that can be “cooperative” or “deathmatch”. The pleasure of playing this game cannot be surpassed by anything else.
