Why would your Christian spouse be unfaithful?
Okay, so you read about all the signs of a cheating spouse. You have been obsessing over the cheating spouse for months, unable to take care of anything else. He has accessed online chat logs; cell phone records and high and low searches for social media passwords. And you have a pretty good idea that your spouse is cheating on you, so now what do you do?
What I am going to tell you may alarm some of you because it goes against everything else you have read. But knowing that your spouse is cheating on you is not the central issue here. Although, of course, it is a problem because it hurts deeply to know that your spouse is cheating on you, and it seems that you cannot get rid of the images of your spouse with someone else, but the main problem here is what is at the heart of the cheater. ? Why would your spouse, who claims to be a Christian, cheat? Does that seem strange? How does that happen?
First of all let me tell you that you are not alone. Thousands of so-called Christians who go to church, raise families, and seem like good people are cheating on their spouses. What is happening to Christianity in today’s society? I will tell you what is happening through what has already been foretold in the scriptures. God knew that in the last days there would be scoffers and scoffers of the Word. Most Christians today listen to the Word of God preached to them and read it, but they don’t do what it says!
Understand that “going to church” does not mean that a person has a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Going to church does not mean we are saved. Going to church does not mean that we automatically receive the grace of Christ when we sin. And going to church does not mean that we are faithful people or that we believe in Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. Unfortunately, there are some people who go to church to attract their spouses or to look good to friends, family, and neighbors. And some people are even convinced that simply going to church saves them!
But, beloved, remember the words that were spoken before the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How they told you that there would be scoffers in the last days, that they would walk after their own ungodly lusts. These are the ones who separate, sensual, who do not have the Spirit. (Jude 18-19)
HAS Sincere A Christian has the Spirit of Christ within him or her and therefore will have a hard time doing anything contrary to God’s standards, unless he or she has turned away, which is also spoken of in the Scriptures. If his cheating spouse is truly sorry for the sin he committed against the marriage, he will seek redemption and forgiveness, and he will turn from sin and sin no more. They will truly want to walk in the ways of Jesus Christ and do God’s will! But, if your spouse is not really sorry, but he is just putting on a good show for you, he will eventually cheat on you again and again.
Christianity is a lifestyle and it shows in how a person lives their life.. Those who have sex outside of their marriage are not Christians. The scriptures let us know a lot about scoffers and scoffers because these guys are full of worldliness, pride, lust, and greed. They may not go around mocking or mocking God’s Word out loud in public, but in their heart they don’t do what God says. They live by their own standards and understanding. By their fruits you will know them.
Where do the wars and lawsuits between you come from? Do they not come from here, even from your concupiscences that fight in your members? You covet, and have not; you kill, and wish to have, and cannot attain; you fight and war, but you do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to consume it in your lusts: Adulterers and adulteresses, you do not know that the friendship of the world is enmity against God. Anyone, then, who wants to be a friend of the world, makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4:1-4)
The bottom line is that Christians want to be pampered in their Christianity and justify the reasons for how their sinful lifestyle somehow fits into the Scriptures. But the truth of the matter is that, no matter how terrible it sounds, those who are not walking in the ways of Christ will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. When we live as if there is no Creator or Spirit of Christ, we do a great injustice to ourselves. We must stop fooling ourselves and get right with God before it’s too late.
By their fruits you will know them. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? So every good tree bears good fruit; but the rotten tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor they can the bad tree bears good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore, by their fruits you will know them. (Luke 6:43-44)
