The Port of Paros is in Parikia (the capital) which is located in the western part of the island. Parikia is a city with a well-developed tourist infrastructure that offers many accommodation units, beaches and archaeological sites to visit.

Paros is the third largest island in the Cyclades, after Andros and Naxos, with a total area of ​​195 m2. km and 120 kilometers of coastline and beautiful sandy beaches. Apart from Parikia, which is the commercial center of the island, the most beautiful town on Paros is Naoussa, which is much more picturesque and has many beaches and attractions to offer. The central point of interest is around the small fishing port of Naoussa, where some of the best restaurants, fish taverns, cafes and bars on the island. Near Naoussa are some of the best beaches on Paros, awarded with the “blue flag” sign.

Get up early in the morning, have a rich breakfast at your hotel and get ready to discover the beauties of the places around Naoussa. If you prefer to have breakfast in Naoussa, go to the Healthy Coffee, located in the heart of the town. It is one of the most popular meeting points in Naoussa, where all kinds of coffees and delicious omelettes are served.

After that, rent a scooter (or hire a taxi or boat) and drive to some of the best beaches nearby. Start your beach tour from Kolimbithres Beach, which is located in the bay, just opposite the village of Naoussa. Due to the impressive and huge sculpture-like rock formations that divide the entire beach into small sandy beach coves, Kolimbithres is one of the most popular beaches near Naoussa. Some of these small beaches offer umbrella and sun lounger rental and also some water sports facilities. Another small sandy beach, quite close to Kolimbithres, is Monastiri (or Agios Ioannis beach). It is a very well organized beach, with crystal clear waters, facilities for sea sports and fish taverns facing the sea to enjoy your lunch with delicious flavors.

For those who love snorkeling and windsurfing, it is suggested to go to Santa Maria beach, located to the east of Naoussa at a distance of 5 km, facing the island of Naxos. It is a fully organized beach with sun loungers, umbrellas, water sports centers and beach bars with good music.

In the afternoon you can visit some churches, such as Kimisis tis Theotokou (the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin) which is the main church of Naoussa, located on the highest point of the hill, the church of Saint Nicholas and the Logovarda Monastery. which is located 4 km from Naoussa on the road to Parikia. Logovarda is a male monastery and is prohibited for women.

If you are staying on Paros for more days, then some of the most interesting sites in Parikia are worth visiting, such as the church of Panagia Ekatontapiliani (meaning Our Lady of Hundred Doors) which was built in the 4th century AD by Saint Constantine, the first emperor of Constantinople (Istanbul) and is one of the best-preserved Christian monuments in Greece, where you can visit the Byzantine Museum and admire a collection of rare icons, various religious relics and other Christian items dating from the post-Epoque byzantine. In Parikia there is also the Archaeological Museum of Paros, where you can see a large collection of finds dating back to the Bronze Age and Neolithic period.

And finally, be sure to visit the island of Antiparos, a small picturesque islet, just 1 nautical mile southwest of Paros, where you will feel like you are in paradise. Antiparos can be accessed by ferry from the port of Paros (Parikia) which is a 20 minute drive and from Punda beach which is only a 7 minute drive.
