Hair coloring can change your appearance

The color of a person’s hair says a lot about him. Gray hair can indicate that a person is aging. Platinum blonde can say “surfer” or “sexpot”. Brown braids come in a wide range of shades. Some people leave their locks curly or straight their natural color throughout their lives. Others change the tone every few weeks. Others only remove the gray hair that appears to make them look younger. What are the options? There are a lot of them. Here are some things to think about:

– Permanent varieties: Many varieties of dye are made to permanently alter the tone of the braids. There is usually a swatch color palette that a customer can choose from at a beauty salon or store. This pigment is mixed with a developer that will make it stick permanently to the shaft. As the strands grow, the roots will become apparent near the scalp. Some people like this multicolored look, while others touch up the roots every few weeks.

– Temporary products: Many products are made to last only temporarily. The exact time frame will depend on both the product and how often a person washes their hair. A common time period is twenty shampoos before the temporary rinse has been removed. The upside to these is that temporary formulas are easier on the hair. Less damage is done because the chemicals are less aggressive. The downside is that it has to be completely reapplied every few weeks. With each shampoo, the vibrancy also tends to fade.

– Do it yourself or salon: Some people dye their hair after buying kits at the pharmacy or beauty supply dealer. These customers need plastic gloves, mixing bowls, dye, developer, and a lot of knowledge. The wrong applications can turn your mane of braids into an unsightly mess. Too strong of bleach or solutions left too long can cause strands to become brittle and break. This is chemistry, after all! In the salon, a well-trained stylist will have passed multiple chemistry courses in cosmetology school and practiced on many clients and mannequins. Still, even licensed and trained cosmetologists sometimes go wrong with this complex procedure.

– Beauty Schools: For an inexpensive dye job, hairstylists-in-training can dye a person’s hair while they learn. These are usually pretty safe bets because a mentor teacher is ready to oversee the entire process. Cosmetology schools also often have great products.

– All color or fabric: some people want the same dye to spread throughout the head. They just want to be brunette or redhead, for example. Others want a multitude of interwoven colors. This can create an interesting and surprisingly natural look.

– Highlights or low lights: some people only want the color of certain strands of hair to be altered. Highlights are a way to lighten your strands to give them a sun-bleached look. Lowlights add darker highlights to add depth, richness, and a darker tone to a hairstyle.

There are many options when choosing hair coloring. This is a fun way to change and improve your look.
