Beginner to Advanced Nitrous Oxide

Everyone seems to have mixed feelings about nitrous. Some think that the first time you use it your engine will blow up, and some feel invincible while using it speeding through traffic without worrying about the safety or security of others. But the truth is, yes, it is safe to use in the right hands and with the right modifications. That said, you can’t add a nitrous system to his mother’s 95 civic that has 300,000 miles on it and never got over 70, and expect nothing to happen. There are a couple of plugins that are not required but will greatly increase the security of your engine. Also, if this is your first time running nitrous, don’t start with a big shot, use a smaller shot and once you’re comfortable using it, if you want to, go bigger.

There are two main types of nitrous systems, wet and dry systems.

Dry Nitrous Systems

A dry nitrous system injects nitrous directly into the engine, but allows your car’s ECU to add the fuel, which can be a bit risky because if your ECU fails, your engine could blow up and you’ll have to do some major internal engine repairs. engine.

Wet Nitrous Systems

A wet nitrous kit is probably the most widely used and safest nitrous system out there. These kits are different than dry kits because the injectors add nitrous and fuel to the engine at the same time. This way your engine will never go rich or lean. However, you will still need to tune up your engine and be smart about using your nitrous system. Personally I would recommend a wet kit for anyone new to nitrous for added safety. Also, when using nitrous for the first time, use a large injection, use a smaller one until you tune up your engine and feel completely comfortable using nitrous.

There are many nitrous supplements you can do to not only increase performance, but also decrease the chance of internal engine damage. Here is not only a list of the products, but also a brief description of what it does. Now I personally like the Zex nitrous kits and systems.
