Preview: Mailbox app for IOS users

The first thing an iPhone user does is use email services and check emails in their default email client, Sparrow, or in Gmail. These are the standard applications for email. However, it’s not just about getting all your emails in your phone inbox that you used to check on your desk before, it’s more about organizing messages, features, and ease of use. Recently, the media has been full of the Mailbox app for iOS users. It is said to be designed to make life easier for an iOS user with better features.

Let’s find out if the Mailbox app really delivers what it says:

Mailbox vs. other email applications

Sparrow has long dominated iOS devices and is used as the default email client. Gmail’s intuitive gestures and label display have what made it popular with Apple users. Also, the ease of managing accounts and adding images to each contact on the account is what makes it fascinating. It’s all about personalization and the ability to personalize things that make handling easier.

When compared to the latest app called Mailbox, it appears to be very different from Sparrow. The first thing you will notice is the missing Gmail lists and the swipe functionality that allows you to send messages to the Gmail list. Another thing is adding images to contacts that are missing again. There is also no multiple email selection. However, Mailbox is made to treat each message individually with these older applications that display messages in the inbox. Also, each conversation is displayed as a thread within an email that helps to keep track of a conversation.

The best part of the Mailbox app is the ability to program a single function with multiple options for organizing your messages. You can easily sort each message as it is received in your Inbox. The best part is Snooze which allows the user to swipe a message into the Inbox to read it later. As soon as you “Snooze” a message, it will be moved to another folder for now. If you have set the time to read the message after 1 hour, the message will return to your inbox exactly after one hour. This way you can organize each message and read it later. In addition, you can read the message by priority and according to your preferences.

You can also organize your email by sliding your finger to add it to separate lists such as “To View”, “To Read” and “To Buy”.

Is Mailbox the best?

The mailbox as you already know offers you the opportunity to “Snooze” an email message upon arrival. This has advantages and disadventages. You may forget to read it for now. In this way, you can conveniently postpone most of the emails that you don’t want to reply to or read in a separate folder for a long time. However, this tool can be used at the user’s convenience, either to organize messages for later reading or to clear the inbox by sending selected messages to another folder. It all depends on how you want to use it.
