Over 3 million units of the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee sold in North America

However, none have matched the Grand Cherokee’s combination of legendary Jeep 4×4 capability, on-road refinement, technological innovations and safety features.”
These are the words of the vice president of Jeep, which has surpassed 3 million sales since its debut in 1992. From then on, there is no turning back; Jeep Grand Cherokee lived up to its name with a level of comfort, ride and handling previously not found in most sport utility vehicles, and pioneered the introduction of a driver’s side airbag in a SUV.
Jeep Grand Cherokee sales for March 2005 were 18,828 units, bringing sales to 3,013,296 units since it was on the market in 1992. The 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the best of the bunch. Its best features are three new full-time four-wheel drive systems, two new transfer cases, all-new front and independent suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, and an all-new five-speed transmission.
The 2005 Grand Cherokee was the first Jeep vehicle available with the 5.7-liter HEMI(R) V-8 and Multi-Displacement System. MDS seamlessly deactivates four cylinders when the V-8 isn’t running.
Its exterior is marked with the signature Jeep brand seven-slot grille, round headlamps and trapezoidal wheel openings. Chrome automatic shifter and a two-tone instrument panel with an easy-to-read instrument cluster and well-designed seats accentuate the new interior.
Safety features include Electronic Stability Program, SmartBeam(TM) headlamps that quickly and automatically adjust the brightness and intensity of high beams, All-Speed Traction Control System, advanced multi-speed airbags, stages with an occupant classification system and an anti-lock braking system.
