How to lose weight in the thighs during pregnancy

Gaining weight during pregnancy can be a traumatic experience for any woman. You know it’s part of the natural process, but that doesn’t make it any less difficult to deal with, right?

What’s worse is that the extra weight seems to accumulate in certain areas, instead of being evenly distributed throughout the body. The buttocks and thighs are usually the most common areas where excess weight accumulates during pregnancy.

The hard part is that because you’re pregnant you can’t just go on a diet and do the regular things that most magazines and TV shows tell people to do… after all, you’re eating for two now. and you cannot deprive your baby of what she needs.

So how can you safely lose weight in your thighs during pregnancy, without putting undue stress and strain on your baby?

Well, first I must emphasize that you should NEVER go on a diet during pregnancy, as you simply would not consume enough to feed your baby and keep it in perfect health.

That being said, one of the best things you can do to lose weight in your thighs during pregnancy is to exercise regularly.

A simple but great exercise to help lose weight in the thighs during pregnancy that requires no equipment and can even be done at home in front of the TV is to perform lunges. As with all exercises during pregnancy, remember to use your abdominal muscles to support your spine.
